To say this year’s Oysterfest went off without a hitch would be a gross understatement. There were things that couldn’t be controlled: unpredictable weather that meant sunshine one second and cold wet wind the next. And some things that left a lot to be desired: the sound issues, the long food lines, the limited amount of oyster vendors (where were local favorites Hog Island and Tomales Bay?) But despite there being room for improvement, most of the people and dogs we saw didn’t really seem to care about any of that. I guess you could say the world was their oyster.
