This spring, Zero Breast Cancer hosted its 11th annual Honor Thy Healer breast cancer awards program at the Mill Valley Community Center. All proceeds will support ZBC's research and education programs.

At the recent Kapalua Food and Wine Festival in Hawaii, locals Elizabeth and Branton Cole flew to Maui for a quick weekend getaway to enjoy the festival's Grand Seafood Tasting at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. The event featured food from the area's top restaurants, including Banyan Tree, Kai Sushi Bar, Merriman's Kapalua and the Plantation House Restaurant, along with wine tastings from around the world. The four-day culinary festival, which includes celebrity chefs and America's top sommeliers, celebrates its 30th anniversary next June.

A the recent Huckleberry Wine Tasting fundraiser, locals sipped wines for a good cause. Huckleberry Youth Programs help underserved youth by supporting them in healthy life choices.

During the 2010 Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance, a benefit for Hospice by the Bay, guests viewed a variety of classic cars, hot rods, antique commercial vehicles and more.

Local product line Juice Beauty has teamed up with former Marinite Jennifer Siebel Newsom to introduce its newest skin care line: Organics to Clear Skin in 30 Days.

Whistlestop, a service for older adults in Marin County, held its first-ever Silver Express Poetry Contest for Marin residents age 60 or older. Guests were treated to readings of the winning poems at a celebration lunch.

Recently, guests indulged in champagne and spring styling tips with Tim Gunn at Corte Madera’s Kate Spade. Shoppers gathered to see the latest fashion trends and have a photo taken with Tim himself.

This spring, Amy Tara Koch celebrated her new book, Bump It Up, at the San Francisco W Hotel with a book-signing event. Bump It Up shows moms-to-be how to stay stylish throughout their pregnancy, complete with fashion advice from top designers such as Donna Karan and Nicole Miller.

250 guests attended the Legal Aid of Marin's annual dinner dance to launch the Marin Justice League and honor several generous citizens. The gala took place at the Mill Valley Community center, where guests posed with life-size Batman and Superman mannequins.
