Who: Buckles & Bling Annual Fundraising Dinner and Auction
When: September 13, 2019
Where: Ranch Nicasio Restaurant, Nicasio
What: For over 42 years, Halleck Creek Ranch has provided equine-assisted activities and therapeutic riding to children and adults with disabilities. Over 85 program participants travel from all over the Bay Area to the ranch each week to receive life-changing services.
About the event:
The Buckles & Bling 2019 fundraising dinner and auction was luck enough to enjoy phenomenal warm, calm, West Marin evening. One of the highlights was when Silver Buckle honoree Sandy Webster spoke to the audience during dinner, explaining her journey through equine-assisted activities and therapeutic riding.
Over 200 people attended the event, which raised $200,000 in crucial funds to support the care of the herd of 19 therapy horses. These funds also support the Breaking Barriers Fund, which provides globally-subsidized tuition, as well as providing additional scholarship support to nearly 40% of our program participants each year.
