9 Feel-Good “Low Carbon” Snacks
Good for you, good for the planet.

Navitas Organics Chocolate Cacao Power Snack
Novato’s Navitas Organics, a certified B Corp, works with cacao grown under strict regenerative practices. Efforts are underway to transition all packaging to post-consumer resin made from recycled plastics, until a compostable option is available. Their new line of Power Snacks, including Blueberry Hemp and Chocolate Cacao, are packed with superfoods like chia and goji and sweetened only by fruit.
Patagonia Provisions Organic Chile Mango
With a mission to source ingredients that are friendly to our planet, this Sausalito certified B Corp took it a step further with their Organic Chile Mango. The product uses mangos sourced from Nicaragua on the first farm to earn Regenerative Organic Certification, a standard that benefits the health of soil, workers, and animals involved in its production. The fruit is dried in solar-powered dehydrators and sprinkled with lime and chile for a hit of tangy heat to balance the sweet.
Alter Eco Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Truffles
A certified B Corp at the forefront of compostable packaging for years, AlterEco’s truffles are swaddled in a foil-like wrapper that is certified compostable in commercial facilities, not in your backyard. Organically made in Switzerland, the crispy truffle gives way to smooth caramel touched with French sea salt.
Keetz Plant Bites
Boosted with the antioxidant power of spirulina, Keetz Plant Bites are raw and vegan with no added sweeteners and an impressive 4.5 grams of iron in each ping pong ball-sized bite. Buckwheat and hemp boost the protein up to 4 grams, packing these superfood bites with nutrition and the allure of sustained energy.
Unreal Snacks Dark Chocolate Caramel Peanut Nougat Bars
Made with organic palm oil and without corn syrup, Unreal Snacks Dark Chocolate Caramel Peanut Nougat Bar is pleasantly chewy without being too sweet. The mix of almonds and peanuts adds dimension to the nutty crunch.
Union Whole Earth Snacks Pepperoni Crisps
With pork sourced only from regenerative farms which toil to sequester carbon in the soil where it provides nutrients for plants to flourish and rainwater to seep in, not run off, Union Snacks is changing the very nature of charcuterie. The pepperoni crisps crunch under your teeth and a lingering pepper-laced savoriness is not cloying on the palate.
REP Provisions Beef Stix and Pecan Butter Pack
Biodiversity is key to regenerative farming and this Oklahoma ranch works with the Savory Institute’s Land to Market program to build soil health. The grass-fed beef in their Beef Stix is smoked with hickory for a full, rich flavor while Pecan Butter is exceptionally creamy with a hint of Himalayan pink salt. The blossoms on the pecan trees are just a part of what makes REP Provisions an official Monarch butterfly weigh station with an integrated habitat to support their migration.
Everydaze Essential C’s Konjac Jelly
Ok, this one isn’t exactly sustainably-focused but this jelly made from the root of a plant grown widely in Asia is easy to carry and immensely hydrating. The subtle peach flavor does a good job of masking the added erythritol (sugar substitute), too.
White Leaf Provisions Biodynamic Baby Food
Made with ingredients that are regeneratively farmed, organic and certified biodynamic, White Leaf Provisions also put together flavor profiles that adults will enjoy like Pear Banana Kiwi and Apple Sweet Potato Beet. Just be sure the detachable caps make their way into a recycle bin and not the ocean.
