If you don’t have any plans this weekend –– if you have some you may want to reconsider –– head over to the Marin County Fairgrounds for a day packed with bike relay races, killer bands, a beer garden, food trucks, and activities for kids. And it’s free.
Racers will be covering a .6-mile sprint course with over a dozen fast-paced obstacles to up the ante and rile up the audience. Up, up and away! This course is arranged to show off the contestants’ abilities, push limits, and reward those who get dirty. But this is hardly it. San Francisco hometown favorites Geographer will be kicking off the show and the Cold War Kids will close out the evening. Additionally, Clif has partnered with Off the Grid and The Clif Family Bruschetteria Truck, to bring you the best in the bay food trucks. Lagunitas Brewing Company and Clif Family Winery will be there to keep the drinks flowing. And to keep you hydrated, Klean Kanteen we will hosting refillable water stations and selling water bottles. Bring your own reusable water bottle is encouraged.
As far as vendors are concerned, ARTCRANK will sell handmade, bike-inspired posters by Bay Area artists and print t-shirts with bikey designs while you watch. A portion of proceeds from t-shirt sales benefit People for Bikes. A mini pump track for kids and grown-up kids, and a climbing wall. A Clif Bar & Company sampling area and more.
