Wounded Veterans Polo Benefit 2018
Who: The Wine Country Polo Club
When: April 28, 2018
Where: Wine Country Polo Club; 560 White Oak Drive, Santa Rosa (Oakmont), CA 95409
What: The WVPB gathers people together to help support wounded veterans residing in the Bay Area who have served our country through member and attendees’ sponsorships and donations.
About The Wine Country Polo Club:
For the WVPN’s ninth annual Wounded Veterans Polo Benefit, sponsors, supporters, and their families and friends arrived all donned in beautiful sun hats, summer dresses, and sharp suits to laugh, chat, and watch an exciting game of polo on a sunny afternoon in Oakmont. During intermissions, viewers enjoyed a vaulting display by the Tambourine Vaulters, followed by a Ladies Hat Contest, the Chandon “Divot Stomp”, and a silent auction—topped off with a lovely wine tasting that featured the most popular wineries in the Bay Area.
Attendees also enjoyed a VIP catered lunch at an outdoor seating area shaded by trees and also brought their own snacks and picnic foods to make for some great lawn viewing entertainment as the polo game progressed. For the event finale, awards and special recognitions were announced and presented to honored guests that had played a vital part in the organization. Proceeds towards the event went towards assisting veterans’ programs in the Bay Area, in line with WVPB’s noble mission to better the lives of our veterans.
